South Yorkshire Masters Championships!
Ruth and Steffy Make a Splash at the South Yorkshire Masters Championships!
It was a weekend to remember for Team RDASC’s Ruth and Steffy as they took on the South Yorkshire Masters Championships in Sheffield, delivering a series of outstanding swims and bringing home an impressive collection of medals!
Making her Masters debut, Ruth showed confidence, composure, and plenty of speed across her events. The 200m Freestyle, 100m Breaststroke, and 100m Freestyle. She smashed her own expectations with a silver medal in the 200m Freestyle, another Silver in the 100m Breaststroke, and a brilliant four-second improvement on her expected time in her 100m Freestyle, narrowly missing the podium but setting a huge new personal best.
Alongside her, Steffy was in sensational form. She stormed to Gold in the 400m Freestyle, showing strength and control from start to finish, then followed it up with a Silver in the 50m Freestyle, just shy of a lifetime best. Not done yet, she rounded off her day in style with another Gold in the 100m Freestyle. (Her fastest swim since 2021!)
It was a fantastic day for both swimmers, who embodied the true Masters spirit: racing hard, supporting each other, and celebrating every achievement, big or small.
Huge congratulations, ladies — Team RDASC is so proud of you both!
